Information Engineering
Information Engineering refers to the art and science of designing, developing, using,
modifying, supporting or replacing technologies associated with information technologies.
In turn, information technologies are aimed at the acquisition, representation, processing,
transmission and application of information intended to fill specific human needs.
The CEGI integrates, develops and enhances research and know-how related to information
engineering in order to contribute to the economic development of the Estrie region,
of Québec and of Canada.
The CEGI leverages the synergy between
industrial,
governmental and academic partners
in order to enhance the creation of intellectual property
and to offer innovative and integrated training
at the postgraduate level.
